Bruce Highway Upgrade – Salt Water Creek

The Bruce Highway Upgrade – Salt Water Creek project upgraded 12km of the Bruce Highway to the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) specification. Our scope included the full landscaping remit spanning site soil manufacture, ground preparation, planting, bio-basin installation, soil amelioration, top soil installation, hydromulching, organics blanket application, watering, establishment and monitoring.

Although a successful outcome was an obvious client objective, delivering in accordance with the specification was essential, with the ability to support the inspection and test regime of these infrastructure projects.

Our team had to work around the requirements of delivering in a live traffic context with challenging soil conditions and an extreme weather event. We designed our methods with these factors in mind to avoid surprises and support effective delivery.

We worked closely with Georgiou’s program to ensure our scope dovetailed with concurrent packages. The work was ultimately delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality standard for the products used and the outcomes achieved.
