Grinding service proves a chip off the old block
AJK Contracting has added a new service to its growing portfolio in the form of mobile wood grinding, with outstanding potential expected for numerous sectors.
Having delivered wood grinding internally for years via AJK Contracting’s Mackay facility, the team has developed deep expertise in efficient, effective grinding operations.
The business has also been extending its fleet of mobile soil screening, wood grinding and concrete crushing equipment since 2022, with clients already gaining excellent value from on-site product manufacturing and reuse.
The new grinding service is complete with the equipment required to process larger trees via nibbling and picking, right through to final grinding to specified parameters.
CEO & Founder, Scott Verrall, said the mobile grinding service was a natural extension of the business’ offer for clients.
“We have been grinding green waste collections and clear and grub deposits for years into a range of mulch and other groundcover products,” Scott said.
“With our growing mobile fleet, we help clients manage their clear and grub and other raw site materials quickly, freeing up their site for other uses or for the next stages of project delivery, such as on infrastructure projects,” he said.
“Clients save in haulage time and costs and gain real cost-efficiencies by producing their own products for reuse on their site or export for use elsewhere.”
The AJK Contracting team is currently delivering mobile grinding services at the South Walker Creek mine site, supporting the team in gaining cost and time benefits as well as offering a stronger environmental result for the site and other stakeholders.
The service can be provided as a standalone support to project teams or be included as part of a wider revegetation landscaping capability.
