Trusted materials supply
Vereco’s products are used across diverse contexts – from organics blankets for infrastructure projects, to soil manufacture for mine site rehabilitation, to direct supply for horticulture productivity improvement programs, to materials delivery for landscaping projects. Our traditional landscape supply is cost-effective up to approximately 150km from our Mackay facility and our bulk organic supply is highly competitive up to approximately 300km from Mackay. Partnering with clients, we appreciate material supply of this nature should be more than just a delivery service. We offer material compliance, knowledgeable advice and trusted availability to further optimise product procurement.
Composts
OG36
A high-grade, mature compost, produced from green waste and biosolids, using bio-beneficial bacteria and fungi that meets the unrestricted use classification in Australia. AS4454-2012 compliant.
MM51
A composted blend of OG36 and locally produced mill mud with high organic matter. AS4454-2012 compliant.
Compost
Decomposed green waste, screened to minus 12mm.
Soils
top-dressing soil
Top soil
Screened. Can be used to top dress and level lawns.
Garden soil
Mix of soil, compost and coarse sand. Can be used for garden beds and veggie gardens. Special mixes can be done by request and priced accordingly.
Potting mix
Consists of pine fines only. Mainly used for potting plants. Can be mixed with other products to suit customer requirements on request, priced accordingly.
Sandy loam
An alternative to top soil. Used for top-dressing lawns, turf underlay and general use.
Premium garden soil
Similar to garden soil but with extra products added, as well as a Katek fertiliser. Great for garden beds, veggie gardens etc.
Recycled concrete
Crushed concrete road base
Similar to our standard road base products, but much cheaper. Can be used for building pads, carparks and driveways.
Crushed concrete drainage 15-30mm
No fines, unlike road base materials. Ideal for trenches or behind retaining walls.
Sands
Clean coarse sand
Free draining. Useful for trenches, subsoil drainage, lawn top-dressing, sandpits, under concrete slabs and under pavers. Doesn’t compact as well as fine sand. Can be mixed with cement.
Freshwater coarse sand (screened)
Free draining. Useful for trenches, subsoil drainage, lawn top-dressing, sandpits, under concrete slabs and under pavers. Doesn’t compact as well as fine sand. Can be mixed with cement.
Brickies loam (50/50 sand or fatty sand)
Used as mortar for laying bricks. Not suitable for rendering.
Deco screened (decomposed granite)
Compacts well. Similar properties to coarse sand. Used as general fill for building pads, under concrete or pavers. Can be used for top dressing.
Deco unscreened (decomposed granite)
Similar to deco screened but may contain more large rocky material or clay.
Builder’s mix (10mm)
Used for block fill. Small stone provides further strength than using sand on its own for garden edging and concrete slabs depending on thickness.
Builder’s mix (20mm)
Used for fence posts and concrete slabs.
Harbour dune sand
Free draining. Useful for trenches, subsoil drainage, lawn top-dressing, sandpits, under concrete slabs and under pavers. Doesn’t compact as well as fine sand. Can be mixed with cement.
River gravel
10mm river gravel
Naturally coloured and free draining. The 10mm range is ideal for groundwater bores as a filtration material or for use in garden beds and paths.
20mm river gravel
Use behind retainer walls or in garden beds, pathways and driveways.
40mm river gravel
Free draining. Naturally coloured. The 40mm river gravel is another great alternative for driveways and is a stunning choice for rock gardens.
Oversized river gravel
Used for larger landscape projects and rock gardens.

Crusher dust
Our crusher dust comes in a natural blue colour and is suited to driveways and paths as it compacts well under traffic.
Road base
Made from a mixture of crushed rock, ranging from crusher dust to 25mm in size. Used for driveways, roadworks and under pavers. On request, 2.2 and 2.5 road base are available.
10mm aggregate
Used for drainage, driveways, garden beds and in builder’s mix.
20mm aggregate
Used for drainage, driveways, garden beds and in builder’s mix.
Cement bags
Mulches
Mulch (coarse)
Shredded green waste. Used for mulching in the garden or steeper banks. Good for weed control and water retention. (The thicker it is laid, the greater the benefits.) Lasts approximately 6-9 months. Gradually breaks down into soil and improves soil quality.
Double shredded mulch
Green waste shredded twice. Similar applications as single mulch. Will break down faster.
Woodchip hardwood
Pine bark 25mm
Another decorative option for gardens. Pine bark will last longer than woodchip but will turn grey in colour as it ages.

Another decorative option for gardens. Pine bark will last longer than woodchip but will turn grey in colour as it ages.
Playground bark
This is an engineered product, specifically created for children’s playgrounds. Subject to availability.
Tea tree mulch
This mulch is produced from the melaleuca plant. It breaks down reasonably well.
Red woodchip
This is woodchip that has been coloured red with a water-based dye. A more decorative look for gardens.
Cypress chip
A decorative option for gardens and a long-lasting mulch.
